SCHOOL VISITS & PROJECTS
We are pleased to cater for school visits tailored to suit all ages and to discuss with teachers their particular requirements for a visit.

We also have pre-planned ‘workshop’ programmes for schools which are proving very popular and provide a variety of activities to engage the interest and ‘hands-on’ participation of pupils.

Peter the Prickwillow Drainage Engine.
(Local History & Science Fun for KS1)

Reporting the Flood!
(A Literacy & Drama Workshop for KS2)

Wind, Steam & Dr Diesel!
(Science & History Workshop for KS2)

A leaflet outlining these programmes is available to download.

Two short video clips illustrating school projects can be viewed here

To arrange a booking or discuss a visit tailored to your particular requirements, please contact our Education Officer.

Comments from Teachers :

Littleport School: "a great cross-curricular day with hands-on science and living history which brought the local area to life for the children"

St Albans School, Cambridge: "I was amazed by how incredibly motivated the children were by the practical science activities, also by the way they took in so much information from the re-enactments. I will definitely aim to bring future years to the museum. The children loved it and learned a lot about a very important local subject."
